Perfectly fine

Am I romanced out? Do I have unrealistic expectations of my favourite authors? I rarely start a review with some self reflection but in this case it was totally called for. I even checked that the author was who I thought she was. Why? I just cannot believe that Samantha can write a book that is stilted, lacking tension and worst of all lacking that emotional response from a reader.

I realise books should not all be the same formula and that writers try different things. So, I will bear some responsibility for my expectations not being met.

If you are looking to while away some time with a perfectly fine, sweet love story, this book will not disappoint. Want more action and feeling? Try another of Samantha's books. She is still a great writer!
